Every dog here is a real dog in a real home somewhere in the UAE — most of them living with a foster in Dubai, some in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah or further out. Some were pulled off a construction site. Some were handed over when a family left the country, which happens here more than anywhere.

Can I adopt if I live in an apartment?
Yes. Plenty of our dogs live very happily in apartments in Dubai and Sharjah — what matters far more than square metres is whether they get out for real walks and have someone around. We will ask whether your building actually allows dogs, because it's the thing that most often goes wrong later. Tell us your building and floor and we'll steer you towards dogs whose energy fits.
Do you rehome puppies?
Sometimes, and they go fast. Litters usually reach us when someone finds them dumped, so we can't promise a puppy on any timeline. It's also worth saying that a puppy is roughly two years of work before you know who they'll be, while a two-year-old rescue is already themselves. If your heart is set on a puppy, tell us and we'll let you know when a litter comes in.
What's a desert dog like?
Most of our mixes have some saluki or local desert dog in them, and it shows: lean, fast, quietly clever, and often a bit reserved with strangers for the first few weeks. They're not clingy, they don't need constant entertainment, and they cope with the heat better than most imported breeds. Give one a couple of weeks to decide you're safe and you'll have a dog who follows you from room to room for the rest of their life.
Can I adopt if I might leave the UAE someday?
Almost everyone here might leave someday, and if that ruled people out we'd have nobody to adopt to. What we ask is that you take the dog with you when you go. Relocating a dog out of the UAE is genuinely doable — export paperwork, a vet check, a crate and a flight — and we'll walk you through it and put you in touch with people who've done it. What we can't accept is a dog handed back at the airport, because that's how most of the dogs on this page ended up with us.
How long does adopting take?
Most families are matched within about two weeks. You send us an application, we talk properly about your home and routine, you meet the dog — usually at their foster's place — and if it's right we arrange a home visit and the handover. If the fit isn't right we'll say so and keep looking with you. Nobody is on a waiting list they can't see the end of.
