Rabbits are the animals people forget are here. Every one on this page is living with a foster somewhere in the UAE — most in Dubai — and most arrived the same way: bought as a gift, kept in a hutch, then quietly outgrown once the novelty wore off.

Before you scroll, it's worth knowing what keeping a rabbit here actually takes. They live indoors, in air conditioning, because a UAE summer will kill a rabbit kept on a balcony. They do far better in pairs than alone. They need hay as the bulk of their diet, a vet who treats exotics, and eight to twelve years of your life. They are not a starter pet, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling you one.
